Just imagine how\ndifficult life would have been in post-war Italy, but my grandfather \u2018<em>Nonno<\/em>\u2019 wasn\u2019t one to give up! He sold\nhis bicycle and purchased \u2018Bett\u2019, a war surplus bus that will forever go down\nin the history of our company as Bus Number 1! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With Bett, Giovanni started a service\nconnecting the little villages with the bigger towns of Meina and Arona on the\nwestern shore of Lake Maggiore. Nonno\u2019s bus service was the first in the\ndistrict, and continues to this very day, but over a larger area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the 1970\u2019s son Enzo decided to add some\npepper to the recipe to spice things up a bit, expanding our activities into\ntourism and conferences, and growing the company to its present size.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is now our turn.
